Man, you sound like you’ve had one great life. I really do envy that.
I was googling african bike trips out of interest because I have a group of friends doing a South Africa to Ethiopia trip later this year and I thought it was kind of interesting that you came to Ethiopia from the opposite end.
They’re calling their trip Kronkelpad, which is afrikaans for “crooked road”.

Great to see your progress so far. It sounds even more hairy than the M 25 and a long way from Clackett End Services!! Every good wish for the New Year. Keep safe

Hi Spence -
Great to see your progress. Let me know if you’d like some contacts in Ethiopia and/or Sudan. We lived in Addis Ababa for 5 years and my father is still typically in-country several times a year either on assignment or supporting his charity.
Looking forward to monitoring your progress. Take it easy –
Jeff
Hi mate!
Good to hear how you are getting on – I will pass on the news of your progress to the rest of the team at Dexterity. Sounds like a bit of a hairy moment in Egypt, but I guess that’s what these trips are partly about. Just important that you keep safe. Am in touch with Lois via email about hooking up for an event in the Spring thanks to you, so much appreciated. Will continue to follow your progress with interest, take care!

Thanks Spencer
Hi Jasmine
Thanks for your good wishes. What’s your bike? Take it easy and watch out for what’s on the road. i.e. camels like me at the mo!!! Problem going solo is that you have to keep guard on your gear all the time. Have to sleep with the bike.
Spencer
Best of Luck Spencer! I am new to driving a motorcycle, and your trip is one I’ve dreamed of for like forever. I bet it’s really tough, but keep on going, such a great cause! I’ll be folowing and wishing you all the best.
Good for you, doing it the proper way and without a nanny in tow.
